Internship Specifics

House Ministry Internships are designed to equip you for successful ministry. Because these are invitation-only programs, certain admission requirements must be met. (Refer to the back page of the A29i questionnaire for details.) We fully immerse you in a ministry area of choice, where important groundwork is laid for effective ministry, while you receive specialized training and leadership responsibilities. You also enroll in SEU Nor Cal as an intern. We feel this is important because it gives you a solid Biblical foundation for ministry and allows you to work toward a college degree while receiving your practical training.

In addition to the week-to-week activities (which fall primarily on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays), you are periodically involved in student conferences, intensives, and unity-building events.

Mentorship

Our mentorships bridge the gap between our internship and full-time ministry (or between traditional college and full-time ministry). To be considered for this program, you must have graduated from our internship, earned a college degree, and/or displayed exceptional skills in a particular ministry area.
Simply put, this experience is designed to fill in the gaps. You will apply what you’ve learned in the classroom by serving in the ministries of The House Modesto, alongside capable ministers with years of experience in the field. You will be stretched and given responsibilities that will jumpstart your ministry years into the future.

Classes will also fill in the missing parts of your training, whether they are internship-level courses or SEU Nor Cal classes.
