WATER BAPTISM

THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER BAPTISM

The Bible informs us that after we make a decision to receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we then follow His example and become baptized in water. This is commonly called a “believer’s baptism” and follows the order we see in Mark 16:16, “He who believes and is baptized…” and Acts 2:38, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.” (Also see Matthew 3:13-15, Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:36-38)

If you were baptized as an infant, you should honor your parents’ intention that you live with God’s blessings, but realize your need for a believer’s baptism, following Christ’s example. For more information about child baptism and dedicating children, please visit thehousemodesto.com/housekids
